2017 was a delirious year that made us all witness mega system breakdowns, software failures, and terrific data leaks that actually added to the importance of software testing companies. 

Software and security testing are critical to assure the provision of secured and shielded environments for commonly used application and interfaces. 

But we still need to approve why this software assessing companies are important, and this why we are citing some of the most previous software failures that wreaked havoc on businesses:

NHS IT Failure, Again!

Recently in January 2018, the Wales Department of Health and Social Services came across a system anomaly that hindered the staff members from reaching the patients’ files. According to National Cyber Security Center, the IT failure occurred due to a wide network obstruction. 

The software failure badly affected the system and disturbed the schedule of many patients. 

We can see that the health is greatly in need of Continuous Testing!

Equifax Data Leak

In September 2018, a credit card reporting agency, Equifax encountered one of the most drastic cyber-attacks till date. Leaving us all astounded, the company failed to save the information of more than 100 million consumers worldwide, specifically from the US, UK, and Canada. The stolen data largely included credit card information, Date of Birth, Driving License Information and other Social Security Numbers. 

As per reports, it was suggested that the hackers were able to get through a vulnerability and get access to the private information of Equifax’s users worldwide. 

These attacks are indicative that why businesses require Software Testing Companies. 

WannaCry

It was the deadly ransomware attack that took advantage of an exploit present in the Microsoft’s operating system and attacked mega sectors where NHS faced the most trouble. Even Microsoft explained they no longer had control over the OS and thus could not secure millions of systems connected to it. 

These are only a few examples of software failures that have created a shivering panic all over the planet. We need to stand along with Software Testing Companies and devise some hefty security patterns for the sake of future security.
